RESURRECTION
I will still be wrapped in silk
when the winding cloth
is placed on altars by priests
Fasting
when the darkened churches
glow
I will continue to stagger
through evening without day
when the procession begins
Preparing myself
in anticipation of the moment
your light reaches my candle
and the doors of paradise open
