Junco Canché, the Chicano Punk Rock Artesano, was born in the US and raised in Mexico. His influences include cartoons, punk rock, manga, and Mayan codexes . Before SDFP, Junco drew cartoons for El Coyote Online, La Prensa News, and the Southwestern College Sun. He's received awards from the JACC and the local Society of Professional Journalists. Currently following the path of the artisan and working towards his B.A. in graphic design.

Comparing a TV character to a real terrorist is silly. If you want to make a true statement, let’s compare al-Baghdadi to King Ferdinand? Remember him, the guy that ended 500 years of peace to institute the Inquisition in Spain.
And remember too, that the peace was under the rule of muslims.

Why not make yourself happy? Maybe buy yourself an air conditioner, or a drink, or go back to doing whatever people used to reward you for doing.
By the way, that’s a very hard and clean cartoon. The Dukes of Ducks are a violent sort of crew.
They prob’ly are; I’ve never watched ’em so I don’t know.
Sure, the cartoon is OK as far as it goes. But it coulda been a historical comment, too.

Thank you for your commments. I am glad to know you are also informed about the history of Spain. However, most of the American readers aren’t, but many do know who Mr. Robertson is.

If you knew anything about this toon you’d understand that Phil Robertson has called on non-Christians to convert or face possible death. Same with the ISIS guy. Their common ground is their fanaticism. This toon is spot on.

The daughter of Mr. Duck Dynasty is now a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. Just goes to show the Duck Dynasty guy is mainstream now. Also one other killer type is a contestant: Randy Couture is a true icon in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). I guess they have to make a balanced presentation. By the way Duck Dynasty’s daughter is a pretty good dancer! Couture did pretty well too. Guess his teacher found his “soft side.”
Granddaughter. Phil is the granddaddy who started the biz. His son made it famous. Phil was also a college football star and teammate of HOF QB Terry Bradshaw. He could’ve played in the NFL but went a different route.
Randy Couture never killed anyone. Nor has there ever been a death in a UFC match. There is also less long term trauma unlike boxing and professional football.
