PEOPLE STARE AT ME
People stare at me
Six feet of blue eyes
looking out over a sea of black hair
People stare
at minority me
I instinctually coil up
underneath the rock
I was born inside
People stare at me
until I swallow the venom
biting my tongue
and force myself
to crawl out of my skin
