    Well, that’s a blast from the past! I moved to New Mexico about a year after the initial actions by Tijerina and other in la Tierra Amarilla. The issue remained in the news for the year & a half I was there and, undoubtedly, beyond. It would be interesting to read an article about the history of this movement from the perspective of 40+ years, and particularly from the perspective of Chicano activists. Needless to say, most of the reporting I was aware of was not sympathetic to their cause.
