It’s not all that often that President Barack Obama has truly gotten angry at his Republican counterparts. It’s been well-deserved on so many occasions, yet Obama seems to believe that civility and decency can somehow still get through to the GOP. In a press conference on Friday, Obama demonstrated some refreshing gusto, scolding the GOP for making “the idea of preventing [millions of Americans] from getting health care their holy grail.”

“Their number one priority, the one unifying principle in the Republican Party at the moment is making sure that 30 million people don’t have health care,” Obama said.

This video may not be new, but it’s worth the watch (again, even if you’ve already seen it). Dr. Mike Evans, a doctor-professor who has become an online curator of health information, answers the question, “What is the single best thing we can do for our health?”

And, of course, the weekend wouldn’t be complete without revisiting a portion of a recent Fox News interview fail by correspondent Lauren Green, who spoke with author and religions expert Reza Aslan about his book, Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth. Despite his multiple degrees, including a PhD in the History of Religions, Green still couldn’t understand why a Muslim would have the audacity to write about Jesus.

Lauren Green: “But it still begs the question,  why would you be interested in the founder of Christianity?”

Reza Aslan: “Because it’s my job as an academic. I am a professor of religion, including the New Testament. That’s what I do for a living.”

A lot of people study Christianity from a historical point of view not necessarily because they’re Christians. Most of the European wars after 1500 were religious wars – Protestants fighting Catholics etc. And then there were the Crusades further back. If you took Christianity out of European history, you wouldn’t have much history left to study.

Lauren Green had not read the book and not even the cover. She is one of the true bottom feeders at Fox – oh I’m sorry – they have to be bottom feeders to get hired. Reza Aslan was brilliant in showing Fox for what Fox is. Rupert made his money with tabloids and that is the only thing he relies on. If it bleeds it leads and you get the pictures I’ll get the war.
