Golden Hill image st fairIts back … the Golden Hill Street Fair.

The 2nd annual Golden Hill Street Fair is happening this Sunday, October 13th from 10:30AM until 8PM, and will be held on 25th Street in Golden Hill.

The event will feature an incredible array of delicious local food, have a shaded beer garden with selection of local craft beer. This event will bring together Southern California musicians to highlight the music scene in our neighborhood with free live music all day.

The musical acts include San Diego Music Awards nominees Tropical Popsicle, Wild Wild Wets, and Ed Ghost Tucker.

This years fair will provide interactive art and games, and reveal historical photos of the region to showcase our unique historical past. We’ll also have a silk screening booth run by Roots Factory and sponsored by American Apparel. .

There will be more than 35 local food and arts vendors, and craft beer from some of San Diego’s top breweries. Come visit us at the CDC booth just outside the beer garden. This is the one street fair in San Diego you don’t want to

The Greater Golden Hill CDC will be at the fair offering post cards with historical photos of the neighborhood, t-shirts, and other merchandise. Our tent will be located right outside the beer garden. Become a member, find out about volunteer opportunities, meet the board, or just come by to say hello.

A family friendly experience at the Street Fair.

A lawyer and grassroots activist, I was finally convinced by Patty Jones to start the OB Rag, a blog of citizen journalists, after she got tired of listening to my rants about the news. Way back during the Dinosaurs in 1970, I founded the original Ocean Beach People’s Rag - OB’s famous underground newspaper -, and then later during the early Eighties, published The Whole Damn Pie Shop, a progressive alternative to the Reader.

Golden Hill rocks! One of my favorite parts of town with good vibes and food. Last year was fun – not too crowded. Good mix of fun peeps. Prices were reasonable which is always appreciated.
