May is Bike MonthSDFP editors, contributors and readers include a sizable group that is passionate about bike riding and bikes.  Some of our most popular posts have been on this topic.  Here in San Diego we have Bike San Diego and the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition. Check out the Bike Fiesta planned for May 10.

This interest means that there are stories to share about where you bike and why you bike.  We’ve kicked off the month with a post about the places to bike around Mission Bay by SDFP editor Frank Gormlie.   This month we’d like to hear from our readers and contributors.

There has even been haiku written about bikes and biking:

the answer my friend
is not blowing in the wind –
it’s riding a bike

Send your stories and poems to contact@sandiegofreepress.org     We’re listening….

Let it be known that Frank Gormlie, Patty Jones, Doug Porter, Annie Lane, Brent Beltrán, Anna Daniels, and Rich Kacmar did something necessary and beautiful together for 6 1/2 years. Together, we advanced the cause of journalism by advancing the cause of justice. It has been a helluva ride. "Sometimes a great notion..." (Click here for more details)
