My husband and I love these stories about the Neighborhood house. My husband grew up near the Neighborhood House during this time (he lived behind Colmenero’s Market). He remembers Oscar Torres and he also remembers “Tort’s/Tortilla’s Army” as well as Nando Ojeda. I am wondering if when all the stories are finished would I be able to purchase the complete series of articles written? I read them to my husband who really enjoys listening to the stories. He is sick and can’t read the stories for himself . My husband knows the Castros, Laura’s family and the 3 Ladies whom you mention in these articles. During this time, my husband was known as “NENO SANCHEZ”. My husband’s illness has inhibited his ability to remember the details so I will happily pay copies of the articles as I want my children to also read and enjoy the series.

    Sincerely,

    Virginia Sanchez
