Today, thousands of San Diegans turned out for the Tax March protesting Donald Trump and his refusal to disclose his taxes. San Diego Free Press was down on the ground getting the story.

The march began at the San Diego County Administration Center. Among the speakers were Marjorie Cohn, professor emerita at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, former president of the National Lawyers Guild and and author. Take a look at the day as it progressed:

Protesters held many colorful and descriptive signs. Our photo gallery provides a visual walk through the day:

The protest remained peaceful. Often passing cars honked in alliance. Many marchers thanked police officers along the route.

The march ended at the Civic Center at about noon. Two men stood by the Civic Center, one with a sign that read “Why is Diversity & Mass Immigration Only In White Nations?” the other holding his iPhone and filming.

A small handful of people gathered to ask questions, since the men seemed to want to provoke the crowd. Listen to this dialogue — especially 30 seconds into it when he says America is a White Anglo Protestant country and “The first law ever passed said that only white persons of good character could be citizens of America.”

The video shows the amount of work protestors still have ahead:
