DRAWN
I’m drawn
to divided cities
where roads end in amputations
town squares cleaved
lives bifurcated
Walk into walls
that ache with separation
anxiety oozing through bricks
A yearning of such force
it slits through wrists
breaks barricades
scales fences
I am drawn
because buffer zones between
individuals and geography
are charged with electrical impulses
Drawn
because freedom
surges through reinforced concrete
revives failing heartlands
Nice!
