By Craig VanDierendonck

Trump's First 100 Days

100 days and what success do we see?

Only to his pocketbook, with branding for free.

100 days and we assess the damages.

Yes, we will need the Mother Of All Bandages.

100 days of bluster, and brazen lies,

With a dozen or two links with Russian spies.

100 days under Putin’s thumb,

You knew this line would end with “dumb”.

100 days of unconstitutional orders,

And a white man’s fantasy of walled-off borders.

100 days, another diplomatic gaffe,

Unable to shake a hand, or fill out a staff.

100 days and no repeal and replace,

Not even a vote to save his face.

100 days and just as well,

A rambling tweet he’s sure to misspell.

100 days , modeled from Andrew Jackson,

Without a hint of a congressional action.

100 days? It feels like 100 years.

We must fight to thwart a new trail of tears.

Let it be known that Frank Gormlie, Patty Jones, Doug Porter, Annie Lane, Brent Beltrán, Anna Daniels, and Rich Kacmar did something necessary and beautiful together for 6 1/2 years. Together, we advanced the cause of journalism by advancing the cause of justice. It has been a helluva ride. "Sometimes a great notion..." (Click here for more details)
