Laura Ingraham’s put down of LeBron James on your network was so out of line and unnecessary and ridiculously insulting and dismissive. What does his grammar have to do with anything or his perceived “lack of education”? Why should he, in a country where he has the right to express himself, “Shut up and dribble”?

As a 79-year-old black man, it’s refreshing for me to see young black people like this great athlete speak out on what’s happening in the world — in this case, expressing his views on our president — who really “doesn’t give a fuck about the people” as he pointed out.

The “people” being those who don’t support his hateful, racist, mysogynist, sexist, xenophobic, abusive, disgraceful, dictator-loving, ill-informed, unintelligent, illogical, jingoistic, bewildering, divisive, predatory, blow-harded, clownish, non-Christian, conning, obstructive, treasonous, cruel, cry-babyish, sociopathic, demagogue-ish, dangerous, untruthful, crude, demented, demonic, deranged, disappointing, villain-ish, fartful, fascistic, megalomaniacal, disastrous, heartless, infectious, supremacist, undemocratic, anti-American, lecherous, chauvinistic, volatile, loathsome, looney-tune-ish, infantile, malignant, angry, narcissistic, grandiose, revolting, predatory, ranting, unpatriotic, hypocritical, deeply shallow, simplistic, sniveling, corrosive, vicious, wanton, arrogant, insulting, bullying VIEWS and ATTITUDES.

I’m sure I’ve repeated myself here but I’ve also left out a few hundred descriptors of Donald J. On the other hand, LeBron James has brought beauty and wonder and wizardry to our lives on a basketball court — along with the willingness to look intelligently at what the president has wreaked upon us and speaking out about it. It doesn’t get more AMERICAN than that.

Through his LeBron James Family Foundation, he has invested in the futures of many young people, helping them go to and graduate from the University of Akron, adopting a family-first approach to educating the whole child — academically, socially, and emotionally, extending a hand to the entire family.

Through Fox News, Laura Ingraham has used her “intelligence,” her college degree, to hold the nation’s president on a pedestal he doesn’t even come close to deserving.

She and Donald Trump are glaring examples of the worst our society has to offer. Shame on you for not using your powerful voices to create a better world.
