Horn tooting time: A few of the Freeps got recognized for our work by the local chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. Though none of us took home the gold we are pleased that our little, all volunteer, lefty news site can hold its own amongst the corporate media and other outlets and journalists who actually get paid to do this thing. Props to all the Freeps, and our readers, who make this website what it is.
