Delegates who walked out of the convention to protest the DNC host a rally at City Hall. Speakers emotionally describe their commitment to Bernie Sanders despite his having endorsed Hillary Clinton yesterday on the floor of Wells Fargo Convention Center. Green party candidate Jill Stein spoke yesterday and could possibly return today. Several hundred delegates protested – some inside and some outside the media tent yesterday by locking themselves in until police arrived.

Great speech by President Obama last night. His and Michelle Obama’s speeches the best. But Joe Biden, Bernie, Michael Bloomberg and Tim Kaine not far behind. Bernie supporters should put their energy into a post election movement to hold Hillary’s feet to the fire and make sure she follows through on the Democratic campaign platform. But they need to put their energy into getting Dems elected “up and down the ticket” as Obama said. We need a Democratic Congress if Hillary is to be effective. Otherwise, the Repubs will stifle her the way they stifled Obama. Does anyone remember the filibuster?
well put!
Politics at work, I guess. It has been a good show so far. Waiting to see what happens tonight.
Some of the delegates taped their mouths shut with black tape to signify that they had been silenced.
