We’re sharing a compendium of tweets seen by SDFP editors on social media since election night. Anybody who has any doubt about what’s coming and the need to organize, mobilize, and fight back should read these all the way through.

Does anybody have a plan yet? Not that we know of. Rome wasn’t built in a day. That doesn’t mean people aren’t working on it. Stay angry, my friends; build a network; give hugs where needed.

You know hate is in the pipeline when one of Trump’s early picks is a hardcore anti-gay religious leader.

From Right Wing Watch

family-researchAccording to news reports, a key player on Donald Trump’s presidential transition team is former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, now a senior fellow at the Family Research Council, who will be handling domestic issues as the team discusses the administration’s priorities for its first hundred days.

Blackwell gained national notoriety as Ohio’s secretary of state in the lead-up to the 2004 election, when he implemented a number of creative voter suppression measures. He now works for the FRC, which the Southern Poverty Law Center has labeled as an anti-gay hate group thanks to its promotion of “discredited research and junk science” meant to “denigrate LGBT people.”

At FRC, Blackwell has latched onto apocalyptic rhetoric about the threat of LGBT rights, saying that President Obama is emulating totalitarian regimes by “weakening the family” and “trying to marginalize the church” and even linking a mass shooting to the country’s crumbling “moral foundation” thanks to developments such as “the attack on natural marriage and the family.”

This is absolutely terrifying. The nuts are coming out of the woodwork. I like many others have minorities in my family. They are beside themselves with grief.

Picnic tables at Allied Gardens Community Park were vandalized with swastikas, variations on the n-word, sexist gestures (i.e. the word “Tit” at the end of each leg of a swastika), etc.

Max, did you take a picture? If so, please send to us contact@sandiegofreepress.org

We all need to be aware of what is going on in San Diego and we need to figure out what to do about it. We must not let our elected reps say they didn’t know what was happening, just for starters.

I recommend emailing the city council rep about this.

      Thanks. Anna
