Dying for free
In the familiar comfort of your home, with your own family,
No No No cost of doctors and hospital fees,
No strangers, no logistics, no legal-ease,
Just old age, if you please, natural as can be,
Just dying for free.
“My body is old, and you can’t fix me, so just let me be, with my old tv…
Just dying for free.”

But, No No No, NOT part of our modern society,
No dying for free!  You must pay the fee!
Or risk “elder abuse” if you don’t pay the monthly,
And police reports and a required autopsy,
The cost: $ four thousand, six hundred and three,
(And the body bag is an extra $35.00 fee)
No dying for free!

Even criminals on the death penalty cost millions in state and court custody fees,
The military too spends dollars in billions to send our troops over the seas just to kill’em,
And suicidees thought to check out for free, pay 911 bills and investigator fees….

Insuranced until the day that we die
To pay the bills from here to the sky
Oh, death is unknown
Tired, scared and alone
Sell your soul to insurers and bones, and ask why?

Self-immolation might be the way to go. The body bag’s smaller and the major religions find it too icky to exploit and the InsuIndustry doesn’t like being associated with suicide.

The medical-industrial complex wants its last pound of flesh before you go. $6000. a day for a hospital bed. $1000. for that last ambulance ride to the emergency room. Medicare helps but it’s a seller’s market and the hospital chargemaster soaks those without insurance. If you have a mini-med policy, you’ll be over your limits in no time, and if you need expensive cancer therapy, you have to pay upfront even with insurance.
