By SDFP Staff
On Saturday, July 25 August 8 from 5pm until 9pm San Diego Free Press will organize The Freep’s GALASTRAVAGANZAVERSARY. This third anniversary celebration of SDFP will take place at Border X Brewing in Barrio Logan. The event is free (though the beer is not) and open to all ages.

The all volunteer San Diego Free Press went live on June 4, 2012 and since then has published over 4,000 articles, columns, commentaries, poems, serialized stories, videos and cartoons by a variety of local and national contributors.

Regular contributors include Doug Porter, Frank Gormlie, Anna Daniels, Jim Miller, John Lawrence, Ernie McCray, Bob Dorn, Norma Damashek, Brent E. Beltrán, Will Falk, Junco Canché, Eric J. García, María E. García, and Ishmael von Heidrick-Barnes, among others.

The Editorial Board of SDFP consists of Frank Gormlie (OB Rag), Doug Porter (The Starting Line), Anna Daniels (City Heights Up Close & Personal), Patty Jones (website guru), Annie Lane (Field of View), Rich Kacmar (tech support) and Brent E. Beltrán (Desde la Logan).

The Freep’s GALASTRAVAGANZAVERSARY will feature live music, poetry, solidarity speeches, an awards ceremony and an exhibit of editorial cartoons by SDFP cartoonist Junco Canché. Come out and help us celebrate three years of grassroots news and progressive views.
